Antoine ‘Hit’ Hebert

Cecilia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Antoine “Hit” Hebert, 80, who passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass on Wednesday.
A rosary will be prayed at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday by Deacon Ken Soignier.
Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.
Hit loved music - playing guitar and singing. He also enjoyed tending to his garden and spending time with his family. Hit will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his sons, Mark Hebert, Jude Hebert and William “Bill” Hebert; daughter, Hope (Josh) McGee; grandchildren, Nikki Wiltz, Dylan Latiolais, William “Heath” Hebert II, Brandi Peltier, Alexander McGee, Andrew McGee and Elizabeth McGee; and his great-grandchildren, Laya Scoggin, Masyn LeBlanc, Liam Hebert, Tristin Fournier, Aniya Fournier and Ayden Fournier.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Geraldine “Gerry” Huval Hebert; father, Alphen Hebert; mother, Gertrude Champagne Hebert; daughter, Kimberly Hebert; grandchild, Reese Hebert; brothers, Thomas Hebert, Charles Hebert and Carroll Hebert; and two infant siblings.
Pallbearers will be Mark Hebert, Jude Hebert, Bill Hebert, Dylan Latiolais, Heath Hebert and Kaylor Frederick.
