Anna Bell Borel

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2018, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Anna Bell Borel, 94, who passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Acadia General Hospital.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until 90 p.m. on Sunday and continud on Monday at 70 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Rev. Joseph J. Campion, SSJ. officiated at the Funeral Mass. Readers were Megan Borel and Marley Blanchard. Gift Bearers were her great-grandchildren.
Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Anna Bell was known as “Rosie the Riveter” back in 1943 (she helped assemble airplanes during WWII). She was a member of Volunteer for Families and Council on Aging. She loved playing Bingo and Solitaire at her home, dancing, traveling, dining out, sightseeing, and attending her annual crawfish boil with her loving family. Spending time with her family and friends gave her complete joy.
She is survived by her sons, Ronald Borel and wife Sandra, Thomas Borel and wife Katie, and Gerald Borel and wife Cindy, all of Breaux Bridge; her brother, Ames Cormier of Parks; half-brothers, Leonard Cormier of Lafayette and Phillip Cormier and wife Debbie of Breaux Bridge; her sister, Edna Marks of Lafayette; half-sister, Marcella Dupuis of Breaux Bridge; seven grandchildren, Jody Borel and wife Mary, Corey Borel and wife Ashley, Shellie Guidry and husband Brooke, Billi Romero and husband Ryan, Keshia Borel and companion John Talley, Lundi Devillier and husband Chris, and Macie Brown and husband Tim; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Borel; her parents, Amos and Edola Hebert Cormier; her brother, Paul Cormier; a great-grandchild, Mya Miquelle Devillier; and a great-grandchild, Zoey Claire Romero.
Pallbearers were Kassen Blanchard, Logen Romero, Landon Devillier, Bailey Borel, Cole Borel and Braeden Romero.
Honorary pallbearers were Cort Romero, Cohen Guidry, Seth Borel, Megan Borel, Laniee Borel, Marley Blanchard, Liam Devillier, Elle Brown, Finnlee Brown, Jovi Devillier, Jody Borel and Corey Borel.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
