Aislara ‘Rae’ Durio

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 11, 2019, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Aislara “Rae” Durio, 87, who passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2019.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday and continued on Friday from 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
A rosary was prayed by Deacon Dennis Landry at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Rev. Garrett McIntyre officiated at the Funeral Mass. Readers were Kamile Delahoussaye and Kai Delahoussaye. Gift bearers were Emerson Landry, Breaker Landry and Cole Theriot.
Interment followed at St. Bernard Mausoleum - No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Mrs. Durio was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, reading, sewing, knitting, camping, and spending time visiting and cooking for her family. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Durio and wife Genée Hebert, and Kim Durio and wife Dixie; daughter, Donna D. Landry and husband Lennis; brother, Bill Robin; sisters, Dean Savoy and Pat Richard; grandchildren, Megan Durio Kirkland and spouse Jeffrey, Matt Landry and spouse Stacy, Grant Landry and spouse Katie, Bellamy Landry, Misti Durio Delahoussaye and spouse Todd, and Lee Durio and spouse Tonia; great-grandchildren, Rosenée Kirkland, Emerson and Breaker Landry, Jacob, Kai and Kamile Delahoussaye, Cole Theriot and Hudson Durio; and a great-great-grandchild, Ella Delahoussaye.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rebellion R.J. “Boo Boo” Durio; parents; Eddie and Beulah Hayes Robin; and her brothers, Earl Robin, Nolan Robin, Charles Robin and Jeff Robin.
Pallbearers were Grant Landry, Lee Durio, Todd Delahoussaye, Bubba Savoy, Kirt Richard, Norris Theriot and Jeffrey Kirkland.
Honorary pallbearers were Bill Robin, Matt Landry and Lennis Landry.
The family would like to express our gratitude to her caregivers; son-in-law Lennis Landry, Acadian Hospice, Tammy, Donna G., Kayra and Reggie.
