It’s HOT Pepper time in the ’Ville

The 27th St. Martinville Kiwanis Pepper Festival begins Thursday, Sept. 13, at 5 p.m. on the Festival grounds along Bayou Teche with carnival rides for family night.
Entrance to the Festival for Friday and Saturday is $5 for adults and $1 for children. Pets and ice chests will not be allowed on the Festival grounds. Gates open at 5 p.m. on Friday.
The Pepper Festival has everything you could want in a festival – lots of music and dancing, food, beverages, arts and crafts.
All of your favorite musical groups are back again this year. Carnival rides will be available for children of all ages.
Schedule of events:

Friday, Sept. 14
•5:30 p.m. - Opening ceremonies.
•6-7:30 p.m. - Corey Ledet & his Zydeco Band.
•8-10 p.m. - Country Round-Up with Kip Sonnier, Tammy Lynn, Jeff Dugan, March Hebert & Richard Comeaux.

Saturday, Sept.15
•10 a.m. - Festival Grounds open with carnival rides, food and craft booths. •4 p.m. - Twirling Divaz & Dynamic Doltz
•4:30 p.m. - St. Martin Academy of Fine Arts performance.
•5-6:30 p.m. - Pepper Jelly Band.
•6:35 p.m. - Untouchable Twirler Academy performance.
•8:45 p.m. - Pepper Eating Contest.
•9-10:30 p.m. - Geno Delafose & French Rockin Boogie.
