Assessor Todd Dugas reports that total property values in St. Martin Parish went down slightly this fiscal year for the first time in years.

Five years ago the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development approved a promising solution to the constant problem of cars and trucks hitting columns at the Bridge/Main Street intersection. It is finally being done now.
Plans for a major expansion of the St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge advanced one step closer to reality last week when the St. Martin Parish Council approved a request by the hospital board to hold an election seeking approval of a $14.5 million bond issue in March.



The 2016 high school football season has reached the halfway mark and the District 5-4A campaign begins Friday for the league’s five teams.
