Ceremony will honor 9/11 heroes

St. Martinville – Woodmen of the World Lodge 134 will be presenting a flag and pole to St. Martin Parish in honor of the heroes and victims of the tragedy on Sept. 11, 2001.

A ceremony, set for 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, will also pay tribute to firemen and policemen who protect St. Martin Parish, and members of the military who defend our country’s freedom and liberty abroad.

The event will take place adjacent to the Courthouse Annex Building, 415 St. Martin Street.
