Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 16, 2010, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Mrs. Corinne (Rose Mary) Frederick, 88, who passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2010, at Heart Hospital of Lafayette.

Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1.

Deacon Marcel “Butch” Hebert officiated at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures were read by Jeremy Labit and Cortney Bergeron. The Eulogy was given by Corey Bergeron.

Mrs. Corinne was a lifelong parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church. A devout Catholic, she was a faithful follower of Christ, offering prayers and novenas for those in need, as well as praying the Rosary daily.

She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed spending time with her family and visiting with her friends, especially Sr. Pius.

Although she will be dearly missed, Mrs. Corinne has blessed her family with many years of beautiful memories and created a legacy of unconditional love that will never be forgotten.

Survivors include her son, Leroy Frederick and his wife Della of Cecilia; her daughter, Lorraine Labit and her husband Joe of Breaux Bridge; 11 grandchildren, Tammy Bergeron Gonsuron, Christy B. LeBlanc, Lester “Buddy” Bergeron Jr., Corey Bergeron, Jeremy Labit, Jeri Thrasher, Jamie Phillips, Jody Frederick, Julie Roberts, Jonie Vice and Joshua Frederick; 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Laurent Frederick; three sisters, Vivian Thibodeaux, Claudia Poirier and Laurence Domingue; and two brothers, Arille and Cleveland Babin.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Pallbearers were Justin Sullivan, Joshua Frederick, Jody Frederick, Chris Gonsuron, Cayden Bergeron and Cord LeBlanc.

Honorary pallbearers were Jeremy Jones, Nicole Dartez, Clint Dartez, Buddy Bergeron, Travis Roberts and Kurt Vice.

Pellerin Funeral Home, of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
