Breaux Bridge - Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2010, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Willis Alexander Sr., 90, who passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Interment followed at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery.

Father Kenneth Ogwu officiated at the Funeral Mass.

Survivors include two daughters, Daisy Alexander of Breaux Bridge and Georgie Alfred and her husband Joseph Gene of Carencro; 17 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Earline Alexander; one son, Willis Alexander Jr.; three daughters, Willie Mae Alexander, Desgin Alexander and Priscilla Ann Alfred; two sisters, Eunice Gary and Felicia Joseph; and five brothers, Rufus, Edward, Ernest, Stanley and Guidroz Alexander.

A Rosary was recited at 8 a.m. Saturday.

Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
