St. Martinville – A Memorial Mass was conducted for Mrs. Delven Bourque, the former Velma Dauphine, 70, at 3 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2010, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church with Msgr. Douglas Courville officiating. Inurnment followed at St. Michael’s Cemetery.

A native and resident of St. Martinville, Mrs. Bourque passed away at 8:05 p.m. on Monday, April 19, 2010, at Consolata Nursing Home.

She is survived by four daughters, Elizabeth Thibodeaux of St. Martinville, Gail Quebedeaux of Parks, Sarah Boudreaux of Jeanerette and Darlene Bourque of New Iberia; two sons, Delven Bourque of St. Martinville and Jason Bourque of Breaux Bridge; two brothers, Clifton Dauphine of Loreauville and Ludger Dauphine of Texas City; two sisters, Bertina Poirrier of Cypress Island and Bernice Myers of New Iberia; and 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delven Bourque; son, Jonathan Keith Bourque; daughter, Deborah Ann Bourque; parents, Stanley and Rita Thibodeaux Dauphine; and two brothers, Stanley Dauphine Jr. and Clarence Dauphine.
