St. Martinville – Memorial services were conducted for Mr. Paul Edwin Griffin Jr., 66, at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Evangeline Funeral Home. Pastor Jacob Aranza of Our Savior’s Church officiated. Interment will be held privately at a later date.

A native of St. Martinville and resident of Youngsville, Mr. Griffin passed away on Wednesday March 31, 2010, at Methodist Hospital of Houston, with his family at his side.

Mr. Griffin was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked for Shell Oil Company, and at his retirement was a production operator.

Paul was a member of Our Savior’s Church of Broussard. He had a love of motorcycles and enjoyed riding his Harley. He and his friends took many trips throughout the U.S. and Canada. Paul was also a very generous man and was happiest when helping people. He would often cut a neighbor or friend’s grass, or help make repairs wherever needed. Paul had a big heart and was loved by many. He leaves behind many fond memories to be cherished by those who loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Judy Russo Griffin of Youngsville; his son, Paul E. Griffin III of Phoenix, Ariz.; his daughter, Brandi Griffin of Youngsville; sister, Cindy Randazzo and her husband Jim Quinlivan of Chicago, Ill.; step-mother, Corinne Randazzo of Vidalia, La.; and an aunt, Mary Salmon of San Diego, Cal..

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Edwin Griffin Sr. and Anna Belle Bernard Griffin; and step-father, Sam Randazzo; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Luke Bernard.
