Cecilia – Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 15, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Howard “Toto” Robin, 84, who passed away on Friday, March 12, 2010, at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Father Gary Schexnayder was the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass. Gift Bearers were Darrell Serrette, Carolyn Serrette and Zaylie Serrette.

Mr. Robin, better known to his family and friends, as “Toto,” was retired as a leverman with Judice Sand Company. He loved his job and the people he worked with. His co-workers, who have been life-long friends, have never forgotten him since his retirement.

“Toto” loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who adored him.

Survivors include his son, Roland Robin and his wife Penny; his daughter, Carolyn Serrette and her husband Darrell, all of Cecilia; his grandchildren, Darrell “Lil D” Serrette II and his companion, Kandi Huval, Heidi Robin Delcambre and her husband Shane, and Geary Robin; and his great-grandchild, Zaylie Elizabeth Serrette; and two sisters, Angela Taylor and Bunice “Bune” Taylor, both of Arnaudville.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Guidry Robin; his parents, Paul and Lillian Olivier Robin; three brothers, Russell, Lester and Harry Robin; and two sisters, Priscilla Courville and Earline Marie Robin.

A rosary was recited at 11 a.m. Monday.

Pallbearers were Floyd Meche, Shane Delcambre, Geary Robin, Darrell “Lil D” Serrette, Dale Taylor and Nolan Robin.

Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia was in charge of arrangements.
