Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Herbert “Tin” Louis Latiolais, 79, who passed away on Saturday, Dec.26, 2009, at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home in Arnaudville.

Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.

Rev. Neil McNeill, Associate Pastor of St. Bernard Church, will conduct the services. Readers will be Sylvia Boyer and Charlie Boudreaux. Gift Bearers will be Teddy Miller, Ashley Miller, Atalie Miller, Brandon Bouley and James “Jake” McFaul. Musical selections for the services will be “Amazing Grace,” “Be Not Afraid,” “On Eagles Wings,” “I will never forget you,” and “Notre Pere.”

“Tin” was a loving Father and enjoyed taking care of his family and friends. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, making his hot chow chow, cooking and spending time with his family and friends. He was a caring and giving person who was always there for his family. He was married to his wife, Betty H. Latiolais for 48 years.

Mr. Latiolais was employed in the oilfield for 50 plus years as a wire line supervisor. He will be greatly missed by all.

Survivors include his daughters, Sharon L. McFaul and her husband Steve, Lisa L. Miller and her husband Jackie, and Tina Latiolais, all of Breaux Bridge, Doris Fournet and her husband Brad of Broussard, and Louella Crawford of Lafayette; his sons, Emmett “Peanut” Latiolais and Dean Latiolais, both of Breaux Bridge; his brother, Clyde Latiolais of Metarie; his sisters, Viola Martel of Eunice, and Lucy Boudreaux and Bernice Dauterive, both of Texas; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty H. Latiolais; his parents, Overne and Ida Mae Dupuis Latiolais; his brothers, Allen, Howard, Chester, Andrew and Clifton Latiolais; his sisters, Birdie Latiolais and Irene Bernard; and a granddaughter, Nicole Marie Miller.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Emmett “Peanut” Latiolais, Dean Latiolais, Jackie Miller, Steve McFaul, Teddy Miller and Brandon Bouley.

Honorary pallbearers will be James C. McFaul, Brian Angelle, Charlie Hidalgo, Ackal Savoie, Darold Prejean, E. J. Naquin and Bruce Hampton.

Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
