Tournaments keep local cage teams busy

St. Martin Parish baseketball teams were busy last week with tournament play in Lafayette and Berwick.<!--break--> Breaux Bridge and Cecilia participated in the Mid-South Bank Tip-Off Classic while St. Martinville competed in the Berwick Touranment. Breaux Bridge went 0-2 in the Tip-Off Classic while Cecilia finished 2-2. The i’Ville won two games in Berwick. In the only non-tournament game played last week Breaux Bridge was nosed out by Northwest, 48-47. Next week’s schedule of games includes: •Thursday, Dec. 10 – Cecilia hosts Port Barre. •Friday, Dec. 11 – St. Martinville at Higgins; Breaux Bridge at Rayne. •Tuesday, Dec. 15 – St. Martinville hosts Rayne; Cecilia at Kaplan; Breaux Breaux has open date.
