Recitation of the rosary took place at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at Evangeline Funeral Home.
A native of Youngsville and resident of St. Martinville, Kitty passed away at 12:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at Lafayette General Hospital
Kitty had a love for sewing and gardening. But most will remember her for her love of cooking, and the years she worked with both Joyce’s Supermarket and Tuffy’s. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Catina C. Boudreaux and husband Cory of Catahoula, and Raymond Champagne Jr. of Gueydan; her granddaughter, Rylee Champagne; her mother, Gladys Bourque; three sisters, Ruby LeBlanc, Maydell Louviere, Penny Broussard; and four brothers, Paul Maturin, Wakely Maturin, Dennis Maturin and Norris Maturin Jr.
She was preceded in death by her father, Norris J. Maturin Sr.; sister, Yvonne Maturin; and an infant brother, Audley Maturin.
Pallbearers were members of the family and friends.
