DESTIN, Fla, – Sherbin Collette (top photo) battles a 200-plus-pound yellowfin tuna aboard the First Choice out of Destin, Fla.
Collette was fishing with friends Kirby Dupuis (left, bottom photo) and boat owner Dennis Pastentine, CEO of Florida Marine Transporters.
The crew, sans Collette, went out the following weekend and swept a tournament with fish smaller than the Henderson mayor's.
Collette winched in the monster in 45 minutes and was pronounced 'a natural" by the sportfisherman's crew. He also caught and released a blue marlin over 300 pounds.
