BATON ROUGE – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced today that construction on Interstate 10 westbound in St. Martin Parish was completed Sunday, June 21, about two days ahead of schedule.

The construction began Tuesday, June 15, and was expected to last approximately one week.

The emergency road work forced the reduction of I-10 to one lane of traffic from a mile east of the Henderson overpass (exit 115) to a mile west of Henderson. The closure was necessary for DOTD to repair a pavement failure on the interstate just west of Henderson.

DOTD expressed appreciation for the patience of drivers who might have been inconvenienced by these necessary lane closures.
