More than 160 aspiring young swimmers participated in the seventh annual Every Child A Swimmer Program held at the St. Martinville City Pool.

Each student was trained one-on-one with either a Builders Club or Kiwanis volunteer for five 50-minute lessons.

Coordinator Edna Landry said 70 percent of participants showed positive adjustments to their aquatic abilities.
