Arnaudville – Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church for Lily Guilbeau Begnaud, 91, who passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2009, at Opelousas General Hospital.

Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.

Lily loved listening to music, dancing, playing bingo, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her son, Dennis Begnaud and his wife Bertha of Arnaudville; one sister, Felicia G. Babineaux of Arnaudville; three grandchildren, Angela Benton and her husband Brady of Breaux Bridge, Shawn Begnaud and his fiancée Jessie Doucet of Arnaudville, and Tiffany Huval and her husband Mike of Breaux Bridge; three great-grandchildren, Brooke Benton, Blair Benton and Bailie Benton; one great-great-granddaughter, Lilly Antoine; two step great-grandchildren, Chelsea Doucet and Seth Doucet; and one step great-great-granddaughter, Resea Doucet.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orelie Begnaud; her parents, Roland and Louisiana Olivier Guilbeau; two sisters, Blanche G. Eason and Consuello (Nan) G. Johnson; and two brothers, Rodney Guilbeau and Dudley Guilbeau.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday.

A rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
