
Funeral services were will held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2009 in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne, with Father Clint Trahan officiating for Martin Keith Trahan, 50, of Scott. who died at 9:20 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18. 2009.
Burial was in the St. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Scott.
Visitation was begun at 11 a.m. on Thursday until 10 p.m. The funeral home reopened at 8 a.m. on Friday with viewing until time of services.
He is survived by his fiancé Paula Saltman of Scott; three daughters, Brittey Trahan and fiancé Jeremy LaCombe,.Brandy and husband Scott Boulliom amd Bralea Trahan, all of Scott; two step-daughters, Jolene Saltzman and fiancé Corey Suir. Scott, and Karen Johnson and fiancé Rpy Eskind, Jeanerette; parents, Shelton and Leva Trahan, Scott; one brother, Kevin and wife Katrinka Trahan, Rayne; one sister. Sharon and husband Carro Benoit, Scott; two nephews, Kirk and Konner Trahan[ and six grandchildren, Brendon Boullion, Kai Trahan, Justiin, Jody, Joshua Jeansonne and Danielle Johnson.
Mr. Trahan had a passion for riding his Harley
Davidson, Bowling and fishing He was a wonderful father, grandfather and friend. At the time of his illness, he was employed by Lafayette Woodworks.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandarents, Mr. and Mrs. Sarazin Trahan and his maternal grandparents, M. and Mrs. Hollis Guidry
H will be sadly missed but will always remain in our hearts and thoughts.
Pallbearers included Blaine Brickey, DT (Danny) Thibodeaux, Jeff Sonnier, Jeff Harrell, Corey Suir andJohn Reed.
