Breaux Bridge’s Lady Tigers handed rival St. Martinville a 54-31 loss in district action last Friday on The Bridge’s home court.

Jasmine Narcisse led BB with 17 points while Brea Phillips also finished in the double figures with 11.

Chelsie James was St. Martinville’s only double figure scorer, with 10 points.

Earlier last week Breaux Bridge dropped a league game to Northside while St. Martinville fell to Abbeville.

The action left The Bridge with an 11-16, 4-5 worksheet while SM’s record stands at 2-21, 0-9.

Cecilia’s Lady Bulldogs had an up-and-down week, edging Rayne 44-41 in a non-district game but then falling hard to North Vermilion in league action on Friday.

Bianca Davis had 21 points in the win over Rayne and 15 against North Vermilion. Natasha Wiltz led the Lady Bulldogs in the loss with 22 points.

This Friday will feature St. Martinville on the road against Northside while Cecilia visits Kaplan. BB’s Lady Tigers are idle.

On Tuesday, Feb. 10, SM hosts Beau Chene, Abbeville visits Breaux Bridge, and Cecilia takes on Erath at home.
