Catahoula — Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula, for Yuline Theriot, 74, who passed away on Friday, Jan. 9, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Lafayette.

Interment followed at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula.

The Rev. Donald Pelous, Pastor of St. Rita Catholic Church, conducted the services. Readers are Lisa Foster and Destini Thompson. Gift bearers are Braelyn Theriot, Destini Thompson, Landon Courville and Brittney Couvillion.

Yuline enjoyed flower gardening, bingo, helping others and entertaining.

Survivors include her son, Steve Theriot and his wife, Gayle of St. Martinville; her daughters, Priscilla Bernis and her husband, Willie “Pookie” of Catahoula and Angela Couvillion and her husband, John of Catahoula; her brothers, Russel Theriot of Nina and Leroy Theriot of Breaux Bridge; her sisters, Suzanne Hebert of Lafayette, Mae Angelle of Port Arthur, Anna Lou Bernard of Carencro, Barbara LeBlanc of Cecilia and Judy Douet of St. Martinville; her grandchildren, Shawn Jetton, Tricia Courville, Heather Theriot, Justin Couvillion and Brittney Couvillion; and her great grandchildren, Destini Thompson, Braelyn Theriot and Landon Courville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russel Theriot; her parents Lucien Theriot and Emerite Bijeaux Theriot; her sister, Anna Mae Angelle and Shirley Zeringue; and her brother, Harris Theriot.

Pallbearers were Steve Theriot, Shawn Jetton, Justin Couvillion, John Couvillion, Pookie Bernis and Jude Guidry.

Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
