It was a rough week for girls basketball teams in St. Martin Parish last week, with St. Martinville and Breaux Bridge both falling to Jeanerette and Cecilia losing big to Lafayette High’s Lady Lions. The ’Ville also lost to Rayne on Thursday.

There were no reports on the BB-Loreauville or the Cecilia-Church Point games that were scheduled for Dec. 16.

Action slows down a bit over the Christmas-New Year holidays, with Breaux Bridge set to participate in the West St. Mary tournament and Cecilia taking part in the Vermilion Catholic tournament this coming weekend. St. Martinville is idle until next month.
