CROWLEY – The cause of North American waterfowl conservation was given an added boost when the Cajun Chapter Ducks Unlimited raised more than $14,000 at their recent General Membership Banquet.

Commenting on the event, Cajun Chapter Chairman, Larry Chiasson said, “ It is comforting to see such an enthusiastic turnout at this years fund-raiser. It’s also reassuring to know that the lion’s share of every dollar we raise is funneled directly into DU wetland habitat restoration programs throughout North America.”

Larry went on to thank members of the community who donated time and merchandise to guarantee the banquet’s success. The members attending enjoyed a great meal, live and silent auctions along with door prizes.

The Gun of the Year was purchased by Eric Thomas and the Sponsor Gun was won by Wanda Benoit.

The committee would also like to thank our Corporate Sponsors and DU Sponsors for their continued support.
