This has become a great time to taste our local chefs’ specialties. And it offers you the opportunity to maybe try out someplace new.
Participating chefs include Chef Bobby & Dot Catering, Dupuy’s Oyster Bar, The River Front, SHUCKS!, Golden Corral, Azul Tequila Mexican Restaurant, Quiznos, Rachel’s Sweet Shop and LaReve. Marcello’s will offer a wine tasting and there will be a station for your after dinner coffee.
Thanks to Abbeville Main Street and the Louisiana Main to Main Cultural Road Show, the evening event will include music by The Nouveau String Band with Marce Lacouture. The five member band describes their music as “eclectic, unpredictable, virtuostic and fun”. And that, it definitely is! With two fiddles, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, slide national, piano, lap top snare, and five lead voices, the group will entertain you with Cajun, folk, and bluegrass selections that will have you tappin’ your toes and humming or singing along.
In addition to wonderful food and music, one of our 2008 Chamber Board members will entertain you. Representative Jonathan Perry will be performing his Cajun Comedy routine from 7:00 - 7:30.
Join your friends Tuesday, November 18 at Magdalen Place from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tickets for the Taste of Vermilion are $25 each and are on sale now.
