Lindsay is the daughter of Dennis and Denise Abshire of Rayne, while T. J. is the son of Reese and Judy Guillot of Crowley.
Hostesses for the gathering were Kayla Faulk, Barbara Hargrave, Pamela Abshire, Nancy Villejoin, Jill Villejoin, and Allison Faulk and Maggie Faulk. Hostesses not present were Darlene Barden and Alicia Broussard.
For her special day, the honoree chose a rust-colored silk dupioni dress featuring a bubble style hem. She was presented a corsage of pink sweetheart roses.
The mother of the bride-elect was attired in a white taffeta blouse paired with black dress slacks.
The mother of the prospective groom wore a straight silhouette dress in a lovely shade of yellow. Both mothers were presented with corsages of pink sweetheart roses matching the honorees.
The Hargrave home was beautifully decorated with several arrangements of fresh fall flowers placed throughout.
The guests were treated to a delicious array of foods to include crab dip and shells, shrimp cups, sandwiches and an assortment of dessert cakes.
The social accommodated approximately 40 guests registering from Lafayette, Baton Rouge and many local surrounding areas.
Honored as the special guests for the occasion were Hazel Villejoin, grandmother of the bride-to-be; and Norma Dill, grandmother of the groom-elect.
The couple will be married during a 4 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at the Rip Van Winkle Gardens in New Iberia.
