Cost questions

Editor, The Eunice News:

Why do gasoline stations gouge people who live here and try to make a living here?

I bought gas in Iowa, La., and I paid $3.19 a gallon; Houston was $2.87 a gallon.

You go 10 miles up the road to Opelousas, it’s $3.42 a gallon.

Why are food places charging people more in Eunice?

At McDonald’s I paid $1.10 for sausage and biscuit in Opelousas but I paid $1.74 for sausage and biscuit in Eunice.

I don’t understand this, I really don’t.

I’m on Social Security, and I’m in the hole each month. I don’t know why these people want to take advantage of me.
