St. Martinville — The St. Martin de Tours Knights of Columbus Council #1276 will be hosting its annual tootsie roll Drive this weekend to raise funds for the mentally disabled.

On Saturday, Oct. 10 knights will be at Teche Bank, St. Martin Bank and First National Bank locations from 9 a.m.-5:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 11 they are taking their efforts to the streets and will be located at the intersections of Bridge Street/Main Street and Port Street/Main Street from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Motorists can donate to the knights in exchange for Tootsie Rolls on their weekend commutes.

Last year's event raised more than $2,000.
