Members of the St. Martin School Board will face a relatively brief agenda when they convene for their monthly meeting Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the Instructional Center, 111 Courville Street in Breaux Bridge.

In addition to several routine matters, the October agenda includes:

•Special recognition of government officials.

•Consider approval of a number of finance committee recommendations, including transfer of funds from the 1996 Capital Projects and the 2002 Capital Projects to emergency projects; a new salary schedule for Career and Technical Trade and Industrial Education instructors; teacher allocation for St. Martinville Jr. High; authorize call for bids on the SMJH roof after consultation regarding the roof warranty.

•Consider resolution allowing the State Mineral Board to handle all requests for the lease of school board properties for oil and gas sales.

•Consider requests for waiver of sales tax penalties by Badger Oil Corp. and Hanson Pipe & Products South.

•Consider proclamation for Red Ribbon Week, Oct. 26-31.
