Each session will focus on a particular type of film: war (“The Fighting Sullivans” 1942); western (“My Darling Clementine” 1946); film noir (“The Postman Always Rings Twice” 1946); and comedy (“A Night at the Opera” 1935). Following the movie, Dr. Bier, after a review of the relevance of the film and its genre, will lead the audience in a discussion.
The first program in the series “Films from Classic American Novels” was presented last spring to enthusiastic audiences. This program is open to the public at no charge. However, due to limited seating capacity, please call the Library to register for the program.
