Steven and Margaret Jones of Rayne are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Jerrilynn Ashley, to Shawn Michael Primeaux, son of Michael and Karen Primeaux of Crowley.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ethel Stelly of Jennings and the late Edgar Stelly and the late Thomas and Verdie Jones of Crowley. She is a 2005 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge with a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology, and is currently attending Texas Chiropractic College where she will earn a doctor of chiropractic degree at the end of the 2008 fall semester.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Rena Bertrand of Crowley and the late Nefor Bertrand and Edia Primeaux of Gueydan and the late Felix Primeaux. He is a 2007 graduate of Louisiana Technical College and is employed as a draftsman for American Warrior Compression Company in Broussard.

The couple will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, August 23, during a 7 p.m. ceremony at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Crowley.

After their wedding, the couple plans to reside in Lafayette.
