Family and friends of the couple gathered at the Martin Luther King Center on Saturday, June 21 to rejoice.
Mrs. Comeaux is the former Miss Clara Mire. The couple was married on June 21, 1958 in Lafayette.
They are the proud parents of seven children and 30 grandchildren.
Mr. Comeaux is retired from the workforce, while Mrs. Comeaux spends her days at home as a housewife.
For the special occasion Mrs. Comeaux was lovely in a two-piece, off white outfit and her husband of 50 years was stunning in a two-piece suit of a coordinating color to match his wife’s attire.
The building was beautifully decorated for the evening. The main table was covered with white tablecloths and accented with green ivory. The focal point of the table was the couple’s sensational cake.
The magnificent creation featured a three-tierd confection with white butter cream icing embellished with gold trim. The tiers were separated on a tri-level platform stand.
The function accommodated approximately 200 guests.
Out of town guests traveled from Lafayette, Rayne, and Beaumont and Houston, Texas. There were also many guests that attended from the honored couples hometown of Crowley.
