In Acadia Parish several District Judge, Justice of the Peace, and the Crowley City Judge positions will be on the ballot.
The following candidates had qualified as of press time Wednesday afternoon:
For the District Judge of the 15th judicial District Court, Elec. Sec. 4, Div. F, Glenn Everett of Crowley was the only candidate that had qualified thus far. For the District Judge position for 15th Judicial Court, Elec. Sec.4, Div. J, Kristian D. Earle, of Iota, has qualified as well.
In the race for Crowley City Judge, Lyle O. Fogleman, Jr., Marie Elise “Melise” Trahan, and Kim Hayes have all qualified.
In the race for the City Judge of Rayne, only James M. “Jim” Cunningham, III had qualified thus far. In the election for the City Marshal of Rayne, only Alex “Joe” Lacroix had qualified as of Wednesday afternoon.
In the races for Justice of the Peace, in Ward 2, Wayne Doucet, Timothy W. Ware, and James “June” Meche had completed their qualification requirements.
The Justice of the Peace race for Ward 3 thus far has Elton “Bee” Cormier and Ferdie Miller vying for the position.
In Ward 4, Elridge Pousson and Paul Doucet have qualified so far.
And in Ward 5 Michael Chiasson and Treg Myers have already qualified.
