Loving Husband, Father, Son, Brother, and Friend to All

St. Martinville – Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2008, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Jason Martin Bulliard Bienvenu, 37, who passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2008.

Interment followed at Methodist Cemetery.

Reverends Allen Breaux and Austin Leger conducted the funeral service.

Jason graduated from Catholic High School in New Iberia in 1989. He then attended Louisiana State University and graduated from ITI Technical College in Baton Rouge. Jason was a member of the Louisiana National Guard. He was very successful in the oilfield industry, where he was well known and well liked by all. He began his career as a panel technician and worked his way up to the management level.

Jason was an avid golfer who always looked forward to Saturday rounds with his friends. He also loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Tammy Laviolette Bienvenu; his 11-year-old daughter, Hannah Lynn Bienvenu; his 6-year-old son, Grant Michael Bienvenu, and family pet, Molly, all of St. Martinville; his father, Raymond “Eboo” Bienvenu Sr.; his brothers, Raymond Bienvenu Jr. and wife Candy, Peter Bienvenu and wife Earline, Douglas Bienvenu and wife Dru, all of St. Martinville, and James “Jimbo” Bienvenu and wife Lana of Little Rock, Arkansas; sisters include Roberta Bienvenu, Carolyn “Lin” Bienvenu Boudreaux and husband Kirk, Michelle Bienvenu Russo and husband Lee Lee, all of St. Martinville, and Alicia Bienvenu Cousin of New Iberia; mother and father-in-law, Adam Jr. and Joann Laviolette of St. Martinville; sister-in-law, Patty Laviolette Boggs and husband Patrick; and many nieces and nephews.

Jason was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn “Caro” Bulliard Bienvenu; his maternal grandparents, Louise Dryer and Leo Bulliard; and his paternal grandparents, Agatha Barras, Doone Bienvenu and Elia Breaux.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Thursday.

Pallbearers include Raymond Bienvenu, James Bienvenu, Peter Bienvenu, Douglas Bienvenu, Jessie Bienvenu, Patrick Boggs, Paul Boggs, Richard Bulliard, Jarrod Forester and Shawn Hulin.

Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville was in charge of arrangements.
