St. Martinville – The St. Martinville branch of the St. Martin Parish Library is hosting “200 Years of Taste,” until Sunday, June 24.

The exhibit was designed by the Southern Food and Beverage Museum in New Orleans.

This year marks the bicentennial of Louisiana becoming a state. A large part of Louisiana’s identity is the unique and delicious food found throughout the state. The exhibit showcases heritage ingredients and dishes as they are related to the geography, environment and historical timeline of Louisiana.

The exhibit is a product of the collaboration of the Southern Food and Beverage Museum, the Foodways Subcommittee of the Bicentennial Commission and the Bicentennial Commission of Louisiana.
