St. Martinville – Funeral services were held at 12 noon on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel for Lenny Joseph Belaire, 39, who passed away on Monday, May 21, 2012.

Fr. Rusty P. Richard officiated at the funeral service.

Lenny was an avid pool player who loved riding four-wheelers and watching movies. He had a big heart for children.

He is survived by his father, Ronald Joseph Belaire; his mother, Linda Marie Broussard Belaire; his sister, Yvonne Belaire Delahoussaye and her husband, Robert; his nephews, Clay Belaire, Skylar Delahoussaye and Brodi Delahoussaye; his great niece, Aubrey Delahoussaye; and his godchild, Tyler Laperouse.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Anley and Claudia Belaire; his maternal grandparents, Wilton and Gladys Veronie Broussard; his uncle, Ernest Joseph Belaire; and his cousin, Clara Belaire Robin.

Pallbearers were Clay Belaire, Skylar Delahoussaye, Cory Laperouse, Jason Bernis, Jeremy Bernis and Bill Daspit.

Honorary pallbearers were Brodi Delahoussaye and Tyler Laperouse.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to assist in defraying funeral expenses.

Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville was in charge of arrangements.
