Cycle Zydeco, a bicycle riding tour of the Lafayette, Breaux Bridge, Opelousas, Mamou, Eunice area was cancelled

this year after a wonderful 10 year run. Cyclists from the Kansas City area would not stand to miss their annual

trip to Acadiana and decided to organize a similar trip anyway! They contacted their riding friends from McGhee AR,

Oklahoma City and Iowa; the die was cast.......There WILL be a bicycle ride in Acadiana this year and it WILL

happen THIS WEEK! The veteran riders had no problem convincing several new riders to join them to experience

Cajun hospitality.

Riders will begin arriving Wednesday, April 25th. This is a 4 day ride. It will follow some of previous years

routes and stopovers, AND some new ones will be added. The Ramada Inn on Kaliste Saloom Rd. will be the

ride starting point. The ride begins Thursday morning, April 26th.

More information may be obtained from Jeff Dayton or Carol Nielsen at 913-268-8956 or on cell number

913-927-4698.

The people of Acadiana have made us "foreigners" feel so welcome and have shown us such a good time....

we could not stay away!!
