Breaux Bridge – With the renovation of the Breaux Bridge City Hall and Police Department, it was announced that the police department will be moving to its temporary location at 511 Wild Cherry Lane as of Jan. 6, 2012.

During the construction at the current Berard Street location, the police will operate out of the old Council on Aging building.

“It’s only the police department that is moving,” says assistant police chief Terry Latiolais, “all other services offered at city hall will continue to operate during construction.”

All the phone numbers to the police department will stay the same.

All services involving the police department will be available to the public at the temporary location, the old Council on Aging building, for approximately six months.

After renovations are completed the department will move back to its permanent location inside the City Hall building.
