Breaux Bridge – Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Renella Anne Guidry Frederick, 56, who passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2011, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.

Fr. Donald Pousson will officiate at the funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Hilary Guidry and Danielle Dauphine. Gift Bearers will be Marlena Patin, Andrea Stelly and her godchildren and nieces, Heidi, Holly, Molly, Tracy, Kaitlin and Kristy.

Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.

Renella treasured the many times she spent having mother-daughter sleepovers with her daughter, mother, sisters and nieces – she considered those times to be that of “quality time.”

She enjoyed watching old Elvis movies; keeping abreast of politics, both local and national; wrapping presents, and writing letters to her friends, as well as spending time talking to family and friends on the phone.

She was a member of the 700 Club and the Women’s Auxiliary of St. Martinville.

Renella was a devoted and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, who will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Phillip Frederick of St. Martinville; her daughter, Amber Frederick of St. Martinville; her parents, Allen Joseph Guidry and Mary Ann C. Guidry of Arnaudville; two brothers, Carl Guidry and wife Loyce, and Jessie Guidry and wife Sophie, all of Arnaudville; three sisters, Barbara Guidry and husband Larry of Breaux Bridge, Sandy Stelly and husband Andrew of Arnaudville, and Kathy Thibodeaux and husband James of Broussard; and her close cousin, whom she considered to be her sister, Tina Dauphine and her husband Kenny of Arnaudville.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ophey Guidry; and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Cormier.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Wednesday, December 28, beginning at 4 p.m. and continuing until 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Larry Guidry, Chris Phillips, Chris Robin, Kenny Dauphine, James Thibodeaux and Joshua Guidry.

Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Guidry, Jessie Guidry, Seth Guidry, Lance Viator, Andrew Stelly, Shannon Bourque, Lynn Guidry and Liam Robin.
