St. Martinville – State Sen. Fred Mills Jr., state Reps. Mike Huval, Taylor Baras and Sam Jones, Parish President Guy Cormier, Assessor Lawrence Patin, and Parish Council members Carroll “Coach” Delahoussaye, Lisa Nelson, Jason Willis and Jill Hebert have been reelected by virtue of having no opposition in the Oct. 22 election.

Qualifying ended at 5 p.m. Thrusday, Sept. 8.

In local elections, district boundries have changed pursuant to the new census findings. As a result, St. Martin has six new voting precincts and continains four state House of Representative districts, three state Senate districts, and two each Board of Elementary and Secondary Education and Public Service Commission.
