Due to (at present) the tropical depression in the Gulf, it is with regret that this weekend’s Cajun Zydeco Festival has been canceled. Tentatively, this festival is slated to be rescheduled for next Saturday, September 10.
The mission of the Acadian Memorial is to memorialize and document the individuals of the Acadian Exile who came to Louisiana in the mid-eighteenth century, found refuge and established a new life and a distinct culture. To support this mission the Foundation funds the website, products, the newsletter, exhibits, honoraria, preservation of the archives, special upkeep and maintenance of the facility and the Museum of the Acadian Memorial.
