This week (Aug. 29 - Sept. 2) marks the 2011 annual voter registration/education week in Louisiana.
The St. Martin Parish Registrar of Voters Office is distributing voter registration/education packets at numerous locations around the parish. These packets provide information regarding registration, voting and voter participation.
Every registered voter who has any kind of change due to the reapportionment process will be mailed a new voter identification card. Changes include, but are not limited to, a new representative, a different precinct, a different ward or a new polling location. The Registrar’s office urges those who receive a card to review it closely.
