The community is encouraged to bring donations to the auto dealership in Breaux Bridge, the official drop off location for the Disaster Relief Supply Drive.
“We are reaching out to the wonderful people in our community to make contributions, and we are excited to have Courtesy Ford Lincoln in Breaux Bridge as an official drop off location for donated supplies,” said Paul Stroderd, General Manager of Courtesy Automotive Group.
With all of the natural disasters that have occurred in our community, including the recent flooding in Butte La Rose, Girl Scout Troop 2746 has created a mobile disaster relief trailer.
This mobile unit will be stocked at all times with various cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items, as well as first aid items, to give temporary relief to disaster victims in our local communities.
Items may be dropped off through Friday June 10, at Courtesy Ford Lincoln, 2022T Rees Street.
The Girl Scouts are also having a supply drive at Parc Hardy in Breaux Bridge this Saturday, July 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. as part of BBHS senior Kylie Scott’s Girl Scout Gold Award project. The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest achievement in Girl Scouts, comparable to Eagle in the Boy Scouts.
