Breaux Bridge – It is Spring time and the animal shelter is full of pets looking for a “forever home.”

On Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1, St. Martin Parish Animal Services and Control is holding its first adoptathon in hopes of giving the shelter pets a new leash on life.

Activities will begin at 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. in Parc de Ponts de Pont Breaux behind St. Bernard Catholic School.

Barbecue lunches will be served. Entertainment by Captain Chris’s mobile radio show, animal education and the Twisted Dancers will perform at 1:30 p.m.

Come out and support the homeless pets, if you are looking for a furry companion, adopt from the shelter.

Help keep the pet population under control spay/neuter your animals.
