Breaux Bridge, which finished regular season play with a 17-6, 9-3 record, move into the playoffs at the No. 9 seed and were scheduled to host No. 24 Franklinton (13-7-1) yesterday (Tuesday) in the opening bi-district round.
Cecilia (9-12) landed the No. 27 seed and travelled to New Orleans on Monday for a first round game against Cabrini. The Lady Bulldogs went one-and-out, falling to Cabrini by a score of 4-0. Cecilia wrapped up the year with a 9-13 record.
In another first round game, Beau Chene was shut out by Grant, 4-0.
If Breaux Bridge defeats Franklinton, the Lady Tigers will meet No. 8 Ursuline Academy (19-10), which topped Pearl River 11-1 on Monday. The game will be played on Saturday in New Orleans.
