Mr. and Mrs. Matt Durand of Catahoula are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Staci Michelle, to Shane Philip Fuselier, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Fuselier of St. Martinville. The couple will be united in marriage on Friday, May 6, 2011, during a 7 p.m. nuptial Mass at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emile Barras of Catahoula, Marin Durand of St. Martinville and the late Joanna Durand. Staci is a graduate of St. Martinville High School and a 2009 graduate of South Louisiana Community College, with an associate’s degree in business administration, and is employed by M. Matt Durand L.L.C. as an administrative assistant. The groom-elect is the grandson of Lorena Laperouse and the late Phillip Laperouse, Joe Standridge and the late Winnona Standridge and the late Marcel Fuselier, all of St. Martinville. Shane is a graduate of Catholic High School in New Iberia and is employed by M. Matt Durand L.L.C. as a heavy equipment operator. After the wedding, the couple will reside in St. Martinville.
