Others elected to office were Lynnie Bienvenu, vice president; Elaine Case, treasurer; Bobbie Theriot, recording secretary; Pearl Bienvenue, corresponding secretary; Louella Champagne, extension officer; Arleen Oubre, civil defense; and Yvette Greig, parliamentarian.
Following the election, president Oubre conducted the business meeting and heard from the committee chairman.
Yvette reported that the Relay for Life would take place in Breaux Bridge on the grounds behind St. Bernard School from 6 p.m. until 5 a.m. on April 16, and all donations collected should be turned in to her by the next business meeting.
