ST. MARTIN PARISH SHERIFF’S OFFICE LOOKING FOR SHOPLIFTING SUSPECT

(St. Martinville, La.)-On March 16, 2011, suspect Daniel Scott Palmer, 36, Lafayette, along with an unidentified white male, entered Dave’s Texaco on North Main Street in St. Martinville, and shoplifted several bottles of alcoholic beverages totaling approximately $40.00. The suspects left the scene in a black Chevrolet Pickup Truck bearing Louisiana License Plate X786678. An Arrest Warrant has been issued on the following charge in connection with this incident: Theft by Shoplifting.



Suspect Daniel Scott Palmer is also wanted by the St. Martinville Police Department for a previous incident which occurred on February 22, 2011, at Cade’s Market located on North Main Street in St. Martinville. Daniel Scott Palmer entered Cade’s Market and exited with an alcoholic beverage without paying. Daniel was confronted by a store employee at which time he committed a Battery against the employee. St. Martinville Police Department acquired an Arrest Warrant for Theft by Shoplifting and Simple Battery stemming from this incident. He is also wanted by the Lafayette Police Department in reference to similar incidents that occurred in the Lafayette area.
