And some of the suspects are no strangers to police lineups.
Records show Derek Desselle, 27, found shot and burned on a rural road north of here on Monday afternoon, had most recently been arrested in December 2010.
Before that, he had been jailed several times in Avoyelles, Rapides and/or Grant Parishes.
The three men accused in his death have arrest records, while the two women allegedly involved do not.
Sheriff Doug Anderson said the victim and his accused killers knew each other, but has revealed nothing related to motive or circumstances leading up to the homicide..

Avoyelles District Attorney Charles Riddle told Avoyellestoday.com that the charges in Rapides Parish were later dismissed.
