St. Martinville – Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Linda Marie Washington, 59, who passed away January 8, 2011, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.

Services will be conducted by Fr. Agustinus Seran, SVD. Interment will be in Queen of Peace Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Horace Washington; her mother, Ethel Lee Batiste; one sister, Lilly Jones Pickney; two brothers, Wilton (Gertie) Jones Jr. and Kenneth (Phylis) Jones Sr., all of St. Martinville; four nieces, three nephews, four great nieces, three great nephews, two godchildren; two stepdaughters, Holano W. Lewis (James) and Yano W. Kelly (Rogers); one stepson, Jonas J. Nelson; and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wilton Jones Sr.; and one nephew (godchild), Clarence Pickney.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 15, 2011, at Notre Dame Catholic Church beginning at 7 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 9 a.m.
