Troopers responded to the crash around 6:00 am, which occurred on LA Hwy 34 near Duffy Lane.
The crash involved a 2009 Chevrolet pickup, driven by Darren L. Treadway (W/M 30 yrs).
The Chevrolet was east bound on LA Hwy 34 when Treadway lost control and exited the left side of the roadway.
After exiting the roadway, the vehicle collided with a guardrail before overturning and colliding with a tree.
The Chevrolet then entered a creek and became submerged.
Treadway was not wearing his seatbelt and was pronounced dead.
His only passenger, identified as Amy R. Chelette (W/F 25 yrs), was not wearing her seatbelt and was pronounced dead.
